Ventilator Training

Participants will learn the basic concepts of ventilator management in this course.  Modes of ventilation and use of a ventilator will be discussed.  A hands on training will follow after lecture.  this course is scheduled for 8 hours.  There are no requirements or pre-requisites for this course.  Nurses and all healthcare professionals working with ventilator management are encouraged to take this informative course.  Family members who wish to learn about mechanical ventilation are encouraged to participate in this course.  A 2 hour Arterial Blood Gas interpretation course is followed by the 6 hour ventilator management course.  Participants will learn to interpret ABG’s.

Blood Gas Interpretation Made Easy

This 2 hour course is aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to enhance their skills in Arterial Blood Gas interpretation.  Students will learn to quickly and efficiently interpret ABG’s after this course.  Basic ABG knowledge is encouraged to take this course.

**One pulse oximeter will be raffled per class for classes containing 12 or more students for this class
